Motorist dumps car with bald tyres and no tax on footpath of Kilkenny’s busiest street
A motorist faces a hefty fine after he parked his car on the footpath of Kilkenny’s busiest street in broad daylight.
Kilkenny gardaí also discovered the vehicle had bald tyres and no tax.
A local officer did a double take when they say the car blocking the footpath on High Street.
A local garda spokesperson sarcastically said on social media: “If I have a car with no tax and bald tyres, where would you think the best place for me to park it would be? Oh I know… directly blocking the footpath in High St and blocking the entrance to a lane way. Who’d ever notice it there?”
A member of the Kilkenny community policing team did indeed notice the vehicle.
The garda spokesperson added: “Fines for illegal parking, bald tyres and no tax issued. Might have been cheaper to go to one of the many city car parks.”
