Caught in the act – attempted break-in at city-centre premises foiled by owner
THE brave owner of a Kilkenny city-centre business foiled an attempted burglary after they caught the criminal in the act.
The attempted burglary occurred at a premises on New Building Lane at around 7.40pm last night.
After the would-be burglar was disturbed by the owner, they immediately fled the scene on foot in the direction of Parliament Street.
Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time is urged to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
