REVEALED: Star-studded literary line-up confirmed for Borris Festival of Writing
FILM-MAKERS, artists, war correspondents, political commentators, film-makers and artists are among the speakers confirmed for the 2019 Borris House Festival of Writing and Ideas.
Former President of Ireland and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Mary Robinson and multi-award winning writers including Julian Barnes, Donal Ryan, Phillipa Perry, Lara Marlowe, Ben Okri, Sarah Perry, Sinead Gleeson and Kit de Waal have all been confirmed for this year’s event.
The full list of speakers will be announced in the coming weeks but weekend and day passes are now available to buy.
The Festival of Writing, which takes place on June 7-9, promises to be a weekend of ideas, inspiration, discourse and dialogue to entertain the most enquiring of minds.
Beautiful Borris House is also providing camping facilities at this year’s festival, where you can bring your own tent or treat yourself to ‘luxury camping’ on site. There will also be various food and drink stands offering hydration and tasty treats.
The Festival of Writing and Ideas has become very well known internationally for its impressive line-up of speakers, who come together in the relaxed and beautiful setting at the foot of the Blackstairs Mountains.
