Pensioner distraught after dead parents’ home ransacked by burglar

A KILKENNY pensioner called gardai following a break-in at his deceased parents’ unoccupied home.

The 69-year-old man was alerted by a neighbour after a suspicious vehicle was spotted parked outside the unoccupied house in the Glenmore area.

When he went to the house, he saw the back bedroom of his parents’ home had been ransacked, although nothing appears to have been stolen.

Gardai have urged anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area in recent weeks to contact Glenmore Garda Station on 051 880 122.
