On your marks, get set … for the 2019 KTC Kilkenny Triathlon!

THE organisers of the 2019 KTC Kilkenny Triathlon are hoping to attract record numbers of participants to the endurance event in the city this year.

This year’s event takes place on Sunday July 21, starting at 11am in the grounds of Kilkenny Castle. Registration is now open for this year’s race.

More than 400 hardy souls took part in last year’s event, and organisers are confident of topping that number this time around.

The KTC Triathlon takes in a swim in the Nore in the shadow of the Castle, a 20km cycle in and around the city and finishing with a 5km run in the Castle grounds.

The entry fee is €50, but non-members of Triathlon Ireland must pay a further €25 one-off fee.
