Wheels of justice – 60 Dublin-based gardai roll into Kilkenny city-centre
KILKENNY will turn blue today as 60 gardai roll into town after setting off from Dublin on a charity cycle.
The ‘H’ District social cycle will see the 60 officers, all from stations in capital, set off on a 140km spin starting at Ballymun Garda station and finishing in Kilkenny city-centre.
The boys and girls in blue are currently on the road and are expected to reach Kilkenny by the late afternoon.
The charity event was organised to raise funds for Pieta House, Aware and the National Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and to encourage and promote mental and physical wellbeing within Garda ranks.
