Suspect arrested in connection with fatal stabbing of Kilkenny man

A MAN has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Kilkenny man Peter ‘Rocky’ Donnelly.
The suspect (28), who is originally from Cork but had been living on Dublin’s northside, is currently in Garda custody after he was taken to hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries.
Mr Donnelly (39) had been socialising with the suspect and posted a selfie with him last Saturday.
The hugely popular Kilkenny man, who had bravely battled addiction problems for years, had been living in Dublin in recent months.
Many friends of Mr Donnelly paid warm tributes to him on his Facebook site yesterday.
Superintendent Paul Costello from Store Street Garda Station in Dublin has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact gardai.
