‘A senseless crime’ – appeal after thieves steal angel statues from grave in Kilkenny

Thieves stole angel statues from a graveyard in Kilkenny city.

Gardai has issued an appeal for information after two angel effigies were taken from a grave at St Kieran’s Cemetery on the Hebron Road,

Garda Mick Whelan described the theft  as “a senseless crime” that is “very upsetting for the family concerned”.

He told KCLR: “We want to try and locate those angel statues so if anybody has any information in relation to that our colleagues in Kilkenny would like to hear from people so anybody who saw suspicious in St Kieran’s Cemetery on the Hebron Road.”
