Adult and two children rushed to hospital after three-car collision on Kilkenny road

An adult and two children were rushed to hospital following a three-car collision on a county Kilkenny road that was the scene of a separate accident just 24 hours earlier.

The latest collision occurred on the N76 outside Callan at around 8.10am this morning.

Gardai, the fire brigade and the national ambulance service attended the scene.

An adult and two children were taken to St Luke’s Hospital where their injuries are described as non-life threatening.

This follows a separate collision that took place on the same stretch of road yesterday morning.

The four-car crash occurred at around 9am and resulted in a man aged in his 50s being airlifted to Cork University Hospital

A second male in his teens was taken by ambulance to Waterford University Hospital.

They are both said to be in a stable condition.
