ALERT: Most of Kilkenny city will be without water for almost 24 hours due to works

Most of Kilkenny city and its environs will be without water for almost a full day from midnight tonight.

Water supplies will be disconnected until 10pm tomorrow night, Kilkenny County Council confirmed.

The local authority said: “In order facilitate the essential works, there will be a temporary loss of water supply in most of Kilkenny City and Environs, for a period of up to 22 hours from 00:00 hours to 22:00 hours (10 pm) on Saturday 28th November.”

Affected householders can phone Irish Water on 1850 278 278 if they have any queries about the works.

Irish Water and Kilkenny County Council apologised “for any inconvenience that these works may cause, adding: “[We] will make every effort to complete these works as quickly as possible.”
