REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Son of the late Tommy and the late Kathleen. Deeply regretted by his loving brothers Jimmy, Thomas, John, Patrick and Robert, sisters Sylvia, Cathy, Rachel, Ann-Marie and Christina, uncles, aunt, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In keeping with current government guidelines regarding public gatherings and social distancing, Brian’s remains will arrive on Saturday at The Church of the Assumption, Mooncoin for requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery.

James (Jimmy) Lanigan, 47 Collins Park, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

Peacefully on Thursday 19th November 2020, in the loving care of Claire and staff at Strathmore Lodge Nursing Home, Callan. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing family, brothers Dixie, Kieran and Joe, sister Mary, brother-in-law Gordon, sister-in-law Betty, nieces Lorna and Sylvia, Richard, grandnephew Luke, grandniece Clover, relatives, neighbours and friends.

In keeping with current HSE and Government guidelines regarding public gathering’s Jimmy’s Funeral shall be private. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am in The Church of the Assumption, Callan followed by burial in Grove Cemetery, Cuffesgrange. (Maximum 25 people at the Church). Batt TWOMEY
Gowran

Twomey Batt Gowran, Co. Kilkenny, formerly of Coolfadda, Bandon, Co. Cork, retired manager of Kilkenny mart.

Died on the 19th of November 2020 at St.Lukes hospital in his 92nd year. Batt was the beloved husband of the late Margaret and much loved father of Mary Carroll, Diarmuid, Eamonn, Sean, Barry, Philip , Donal, Joanne and Mairead Carter, seventeen grand children and five great grand children, daughters in law Teresa, Eileen, Sandra, Olivia , Oonagh, sons-in-law Ian and Robbie, brothers Paddy and John, sisters Joan, Mary, Breda and Lena. Predeceased by his brothers Donie and Jerry , his sisters Madge, Sheila and Kathleen and grandson Evan.

Due to government guidelines a private family funeral will take place for Batt. House will be private.

Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday the 21st of November 2020 at 12.00 noon in Church of the Assumption Gowran. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral will be available on the Gowran Parish facebook page, please see the link below:
