Ambitious plan to build homes for over 160 people in Kilkenny village

By COLIN BARTLEY
PLANS to develop 42 new homes in a Kilkenny village have been lodged with the council.
An application has been lodged by John Stauton to Kilkenny County Council for a project that could see housing for over 160 people built close to the centre of Paulstown.
The development will consist of one-bed, two-bed, three-bed, and four-bed homes ranging from detached houses to apartments.
The proposed development will be built at Whitehall, Paulstown, and would consist of 24 three-bed homes, nine four-bed homes, two three-bed apartments, one two-bed apartment and six one-bed apartments.
The application also requested permission for all ancillary works and services and the provision of a new entrance for vehicles and minor alterations to the existing estate road to improve road safety.
If built, the development would see the population of Paulstown top 1,000.
