Banned driver caught with drugs and no insurance after he was stopped in Kilkenny

A banned driver was caught red handed after he was stopped by gardai in Kilkenny who also found a small quantity of cannabis after they searched his vehicle.

The car was also seized for having no insurance after it was intercepted on the Dublin Road.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “The driver was a known disqualified driver who was subsequently arrested. A small quantity of suspected cannabis was also found during a search of the driver.”

Gardai confirmed a court appearance would follow.
