26 Kilkenny projects in running for BT Young Scientist of Year
The brightest young minds from Kilkenny will vie for the title of BT Young Scientist of the Year over the next three days.
This year 26 projects from five Kilkenny schools have qualified for the Exhibition, which like all other major events, is being held virtually from today until the winners are announced on Friday.
The local projects that made it to the main exhibition are from five schools across the county: Meánscoil na mBráithre Criostaí; Loreto Secondary School; Castlecomer Community School; Loreto Secondary School and and Coláiste Pobal Osraí.
The 26 projects consist of group and individual projects from topics across the spectrum of science and technology.
This year 550 final projects will be battling it out to become BT Young Scientist of the Year 2021, with the winner of the 57th annual exhibition revealed on Friday.
For the first time in its history, the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition will be turned into a virtual exhibition and can be viewed by logging on to http://www.btyoungscientist.com.
