BREAKING: 20 arrests in major crackdown on organised crime across Kilkenny

GARDAI have arrested 20 people as part of the latest crackdown on organised crime targets in county Kilkenny.
The arrests are part of the Garda Operation Storm, targeting criminal activity. Sp far two suspects have been remanded in custody to prison. Another three people are currently being detained and questioned in relation to theft and burglary offences.
The 20 suspects have been arrested in connection with a wide range of offences, including sexual assault, fraud, theft, assault, burglary, and drugs offences.
Today’s operation is focused on the Thomastown Garda district.
More than 70 gardai took part in the operation. These include 25 trainee gardai, assisted by the Garda Armed Response Unit and the Garda Mounted Unit. They were supported by staff from the Department of Social Welfare, Customs and Kilkenny County Council.
