Brazen burglar stole ‘substantial’ amount of cash from Kilkenny city pub

KILKENNY gardai are hunting a brazen burglar who robbed a substantial amount of cash from a city centre pub in broad daylight yesterday.

The incident occurred on the High Street just after 11am.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed an unidentified man entered the bar before making his way upstairs in the premises into a private office.

The bold thief located a cash box in the office and emptied its contents.

A substantial amount of cash was taken during the raid. However, the intruder was captured on CCTV stealing the cash and gardai are hoping this will help to identify the suspect.
