Man in court over death of World Champion dancer from Kilkenny

A man is due in court in London today in relation to the death of a World Champion Irish dancer from Kilkenny.

Adrian Murphy (43), from Maudlin Street in Kilkenny city, was found dead in a South London flat on June 4 this year.

Two people were arrested at that time in relation to Adrian Murphy’s death, but were subsequently released.

Last month police in London arrested 25-year-old Joel Osei in connection with Adrian’s death. Mr Osei is also facing charges in relation to another similar attack, but that time the victim survived the ordeal.

Osei is charged with two counts of poisoning or administering a substance to endanger life, two counts of theft, and six counts of fraud by false representation.

He is to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court today.
