Man viciously assaulted in popular Kilkenny city pub
A MAN was repeatedly punched in the face during a vicious attack in a popular pub in Kilkenny’s city centre.
The attack took place at the busy High Street premises at around 11.30pm on Friday night.
A local Garda source said the victim received “a number of punches to the face resulting in a black eye and a number of gashes on his forehead”.
Gardai are investigating the incident. They have urged anyone who witnessed the assault to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 555 7000.
