Let your fingers do the crime-fighting: Callan residents join text alert service

CALLAN residents have signed up to a new Garda text alert service to combat crime in their neighbourhood.

This followed a special presentation by Crime Prevention Officer Peter McConnon and local Sergeant Cormac O’Connell at a Callan Text Alert Registration meeting in the town earlier this week.

Local gardai said: “Lots of people signed up for the new text alert in Callan. Committee members will continue to push this initiative in Callan over the next few weeks. Please support this extremely important Crime Prevention Initiative.”
