Manhunt underway across South East after shot fired at Garda car during chase
A manhunt is underway across Kilkenny and the South East after shots were fired at a Garda patrol car this morning.
Gardai were responding to a report of suspicious activity at Craanford, near Gorey, Co Wexford earlier this morning.
As the gardai approached the vehicle, a black Skoda Fabia, the two men who were inside the car sped off.
Gardai went in pursuit of the vehicle. During the the chase a shot was fired at the gardai. None of the gardai were injured, but they stopped pursuing the vehicle.
The car was last seen in the Gorey area.
Members of the public have been asked not to approach these men if they see them and to instead dial 999.
