BREAKING: Motorcyclist killed in county Wexford road tragedy

A motorcyclist was killed in collision a single vehicle collision in neighbouring county Wexford this morning.

The tragedy occurred at around 7.15am at the Frankfort Roundabout, near Camolin.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The body has since been removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will be carried out later.

Gardai confirmed noone else was injured in the incident. The road was temporarily closed as forensic experts examined the scene, but it has since re-opened.

Gardaí at Gorey are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are also appealing for any road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time to make this footage available to Gardaí. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gorey Garda Station on 053 9430690 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”
