Two suspected of supplying drugs and guns here arrested in UK

TWO men have been arrested as part a joint investigation by gardai and British police into the supply of drugs and firearms in Ireland and the UK.
The operation, carried out by the National Crime Agency in the UK and supported by An Garda Siochana, is targeting the activities of an organised crime network alleged to be involved in the supply of drugs and firearms.
A 51-year-old man was arrested on arrival at Birmingham Airport this morning on suspicion of conspiring to import and supply drugs, firearms and ammunition, as well as money laundering offences.
It is believed this man is one of the most senior figures of the fears Kinahan crime cartel.
A second 20-year-old man was arrested at the same location on suspicion of money laundering offences.
A garda spokesperson confirmed the force assisted the UK operation today.
