Cartoon Saloon’s Kilkenny masterpiece nominated for two international awards

Kilkenny’s multi-award winning Cartoon Saloon are once again fighting it out with the big boys after receiving nominations at two of the world’s most prestigious film awards.

The world renowned animation studio has been nominated for a Bafta Award and a Producer Guild of America Award for Best Animated Feature for the universally acclaimed film, Wolfwalkers.

The mystical story of friendship between two young girls in Kilkenny has enchanted viewers and won the film a top marks 100/100 rating on RottenTomatoes.com – the online site for film buffs.

Both award ceremonies take place early next month just weeks before the ‘big one’ – the Oscars.

Nominations for the 2021 Oscars are expected to be unveiled over the coming days.
