Cheers! Kilkenny bar gets approval for new signs outside iconic city-centre building
One of Kilkenny’s most famous bars will be getting a little revamp that the owners hope will attract a lot of attention.
Left Bank Bars Ltd, the owners of The Left Bank and the adjoining Rive Gauche Restaurant, has been granted planning permission by Kilkenny County Council to erect new signs outside its premises on the corner of the Parade.
The new signs will consist of individual lettering with backlighting over the door of the Patrick Street entrance, as well as to the gable wall of the building on the same street.
As the Left Bank is a protected structure, the local authority had requested further information from the owners regarding their plans.
That was received late last month and council planners subsequently granted permission for tbe new signs.
