Christmas mass in Kilkenny to be an all-ticket affair: Bishop

Catholic worshippers will need a ticket if they want to go to mass in Kilkenny this Christmas – and the local bishop warned people may miss out if they don’t book in time.
Mass and places of worship will be allowed to resume from this morning as the Level 5 restrictions are lifted.
However, there will still be a 50-person limit on the amount of people allowed to attend mass at any one time.
The Catholic Bishop of Ossary, Dermot Farrell, said the diocese will be putting on extra services over Christmas in a bid to ensure as many people as possible get to attend mass.
People are being urged to book their places well in advance to avoid disappointment this Christmas.
