Council to make call on large new housing development in county Kilkenny town
A decision on whether a large housing development in a county Kilkenny town will be given the go-ahead will finally be made next month.
The Cois na Bearu development in Graiguenamanagh would create homes for more than 130 people.
Corestone 4 Ltd is awaiting a decision from Kilkenny County Council on their planning application to construct 35 houses on the north of the town.
The plans are calling for the construction of 33 two-storey houses and two single-storey houses and would see six four-bedroom houses, 15 three-bed houses and 14 two-bed houses constructed.
Corestone 4 Ltd resubmitted their plans for the development in September last year and have provided the council with more information in relation to the development, including a Natura Impact Assessment (NIS) in regards to the site and surrounding area.
A decision on the development is set to be made on May 27.
However, the council is still accepting submissions from the public until Wednesday, April 15.
