‘Deeply disappointed’ – outgoing Kilkenny TD on losing seat in ‘Greenwash’
Outgoing Green Party TD and Heritage Minister Malcolm Noonan has said he is “immensely proud” of his achievements while representing the people of Kilkenny over “twenty unbroken years of service”.
Deputy Noonan was one of 11 Green Party TD who lost their seats in the General Election wipeout or ‘Greenwash’. Only the recently appointed leader Roderic O’Gorman managed to retain his seat.
Acknowledging his time as a public servant “has come to an end”, Mr Noonan wrote on social media: “While we are deeply disappointed that it hasn’t worked out for us, we are immensely proud of everything we achieved over that time.”
