Developer resubmits plans for large estate in Kilkenny town
A developer has resubmitted a planning application for the construction of 85 new homes in a Kilkenny town.
Bolton Homes Limited has resubmitted the plans for the large development near Callan town centre. They initially submitted plans in January, but the council subsequently requested further information regarding the project.
The new development would create housing for more than 340 people and potentially increase the population of Callan by 15%.
The development includes the construction of 36 three-bed mid and end terrace houses; 30 three-bedroom semi-detached house; 10 four-bedroom semi-detached houses, three four-bed detached houses and six two-bed med-terrace houses.
Under the plans, a new créche would be built, as well an extra parking facilities and a new entrance from neighbouring Roselawn estate.
Kilkenny County Council is expected to make a decision on the application in the coming weeks.
