‘Don’t let your Halloween turn into horror’ – gardaí urge Kilkenny parents
Gardaí have urged Kilkenny parents not to leave young children out trick or treating alone tonight as Halloween celebrations get underway.
A local garda spokesperson said: “Tomorrow evening your children and our children will be out trick or treating. They’ll have wonderful costumes and be full of excitement and indeed sugar.”
They urged parents to make sure children are clearly visible “before they step foot on the road”, adding: “Small children should never trick or treat without a responsible person close by.”
“Don’t let your Halloween turn into horror. Let’s make sure they have a night to remember, not one you’ll never forget.”
