Driver from Wexford with no NCT busted with drugs when stopped in Kilkenny
A man who travelled from Wexford to Kilkenny to buy drugs was caught in possession and then had his car seized for having no NCT.
The male driver came to the attention of a Kilkenny Garda Unit who were out on patrol yesterday evening.
On questioning the man, gardai discovered the man in his 20s had travelled from county Wexford, well beyond the 5km travel limit, for the sole purpose of buying drugs.
On searching the car, gardai found €600 worth of cannabis inside. It was also found that the NCT on the car was a year out of date. The car was seized by gardai.
The man was arrested and brought to Kilkenny Garda Station for questioning and charged under section 15 of the misuse of drugs act, possession of drugs for sale and supply.
The man is due to appear at an upcoming sitting of Kilkenny District Court in relation to the charges.
