€20,000 of cocaine and ‘significant’ wad of cash seized at checkpoint in Kilkenny

Two people were arrested after gardai seized over €20,000 worth of cocaine and a “significant” amount of cases at a Garda checkpoint in county Kilkenny.

Local gardai said the vehicle was stopped at an “anti crime checkpoint” at Troyswood on Friday night.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Two people were caught in possession of over €20,000 worth of cocaine and a significant quantity of cash.”

Both suspects later appeared in court in relation to the seizure where they were charged with drug offences.
