Kilkenny hurling hero TJ Reid will be on hand to help a very good cause when he officially opens the Christmas Market in his home village of Ballyhale tomorrow.
Hundreds of people are expected to drop into the award-winning Billy’s Tearooms & Shop in the South Kilkenny village for the special festive event from 12pm to 5pm tomorrow.
There will be a vast array of stalls with all sorts of gifts and crafts on show.
Noreen Murphy for Billy’s Tearooms & Shop told KilkennyNow.ie: “We’ll have paintings, crafts, aloe vera, jewellery, glass bottles, hats, flowers, crochet, wood turners, candles, CDs homebaked desserts and cakes and dogggie treats.”
There’ll also be a Peter McVerry stall to raise funds for the homeless, along with Christmas wreaths and logs on display.
Billy’s Tearooms will host raffles for their special homebaked Christmas cake and pudding, and for tickets for local hurling conquerors Ballyhale Shamrocks’ forthcoming All-Ireland club championship semi-final, a Shamrocks hoodie and numerous hampers courtesy of Kissane’s Pharmacy, Tara and Mileeven.
