From Russia with love: Ambassador drops by to catch a movie

THE RUSSIAN Ambassador to Ireland paid a visit to the Marble City where he attended the screening of the Russian film Coach.

Coach was one of the works screened as part of Kilkenny’s SUBTITLE film festival.

The Ambassador, Yury Filatov, and his Head of Protocol, Artur Pankov, were greeted by the Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Cllr Eamon Aylward, and met with officials and representatives from Kilkenny Chamber and Kilkenny Tourism.

A Council spokesperson said Ambassador Filatov and the Kilkenny delegation “shared ideas in relation to business, cultural and tourism matters” during the meeting.
