Funding secured for new extension to county Kilkenny national school

A county Kilkenny national school has received funding for a new extension that will have “a massive impact on the local community”.

The approval of funding for the long-awaited extensionm which will consist of one new mainstream classroom and one Autism Spectrum Disorder Unit (ASD) classroom, at Joseph’s National School, Clinstown was confirmed by Kilkenny TD John Paul Phelan.

Deputy Phelan said: “This announcement is great news for this fantastic school community.

“The development will increase capacity, enhance Special Educational facilities and ensure the school can cater for future demand.”
