Gang breaks into county Kilkenny property and makes off with expensive car parts
Despite the calls for people to remain indoors, gangs are still travelling around county Kilkenny looking for opportunities to steal equipment with monetary value.
A gang recently stole expensive engine parts from a number of cars that were being stored in a shed on land at Forrestals Town, Glenmore.
The theft took place between 6pm on Wednesday, March 4 and 10am on Tuesday, March 10.
Batteries and catalytic converters were taken from a Peugeot 407, a Suzuki Grand Vitara, a Seat Inca van and a Peugeot Expert van. Catalytic converters can fetch up to €800 currently due to rare metals in the part.
Anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area on those dates is asked to contact Glenmore Garda Station on 051 880 122.
