Gardai hunt shoe thief after break-in at house in county Kilkenny town
A burglar broke into a house in county Kilkenny before making off with a small sum of cash – and some footwear.
The bizarre theft occurred at a property in the Courtnaboula area of Callan sometime between 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed the burglar gained entry to the house after forcing a rear window open, adding: “A couple of rooms were gone through – coins and some footwear were taken.”
Gardai have urged eyewitnesses or anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Callan Garda Station on 056 770 6630.
