Giant 100ft mobile and broadband tower to be built on county Kilkenny site
The local authority has given the green light for the construction of a 100 foot communications tower in county Kilkenny.
Cignal Infrastructure Limited, one of the country’s newest telecoms infrastructure providers, had sought permission to build a 30-metre “multi-user lattice mobile and broadband towers carrying telecommunications equipment” on at Coillte lands at Castelmorris, Catstown, Hugginstown.
It also sought permisson to construct “associated equipment and cabinets enclosed within a 2.4m palisade fence” on the site.
The development can now proceed after the council recently approved the plans.
