Glanbia gets green light to expand giant Kilkenny plant
Local food giant Glanbia has been given the green light to build an extension onto its manufacturing facility at the company’s county Kilkenny headquarters.
Kilkenny County Council has granted Glanbia Ingredients Ireland DAC permission to extend its plant in Ballyconra outside Ballyragget.
The extension includes the construction of a new packaging intake building, a butter despatch comprising two butter despatch docks and an extension of the existing roadside boundary wall.
Under the approved plans, alterations will now be made to the existing building elevations to accommodate the extension to the facility.
