Glanbia unveils plans for major new development at Kilkenny plant
Glanbia, one of Kilkenny’s biggest employers, is planning a major new development at its plant in Ballyragget.
Glanbia Ingredients Ireland has sought permission from Kilkenny County Council for the new development.
In its submission to the local authority, Glanbia said the development will consist of a “packaging intake building” and a “butter despatch comprising two butter despatch docks”.
The food giant is also seeking approval to build an extension of the existing roadside boundary wall at the plant and “associated site works”.
Glanbia said the proposed development “will result in improved site safety, operational efficiency and containment of material deliveries and butter despatch”.
