Green light for large new housing development in county Kilkenny town
The local authority has granted approaval for a large new housing estate in a county Kilkenny town.
The 33-house development to be known as Cois na Bearu will create accommodation for more than 130 people in Graiguenamanagh.
Corestone 4 Ltd originally applied for permission to build the new development in last year, they were later asked to provide the council with more information in relation to the development, including a Natura Impact Assessment (NIS) in regards to the site and surrounding area.
After receiving the information and analysing the information, the council were happy for the development to go ahead.
This decision will allow Corestone 4 to construct 33 houses on the north of the town. The development will consist of two-storey houses and two single-storey houses, six four-bedroom houses, 15 three-bed houses and 14 two-bed houses.
Corestone 4 Ltd resubmitted their plans for the development in September last year and have provided the council with more information in relation to the development, including a Natura Impact Assessment (NIS) in regards to the site and surrounding area.
