Hunt for hit-and-run driver who struck Kilkenny pedestrian before driving away from the scene
A driver struck a local pedestrian while they were out walking in the early hours of this morning before driving off.
The incident occurred on the main Callan to Kilkenny Road at Ballymack Cross at around 1.10am.
Two male pedestrians were out walking when a car suddenly struck one of them, causing injuries to his face and leg.
Gardai in Kilkenny have urged witnesses or motorists who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident to come forward to assist their investigation.
Roads Policing Inspector for Carlow-Kilkenny Anthony Farrell told KCLR: “We are appealing for witnessees or anyone who may have been on the road at that time, or anyone who may have dashcam footage, to contact the Garda station here in Kilkenny.”
