Woman donates items to Kilkenny charity shop – and a huge stash of cash!

A large sum of money was found among items in a bag donated to Kilkenny charity shop. And now the hunt is on for the caring Kilkenny soul who donated the items, but possibly didn’t realise there was a wad of cash contained in one.

The Good Samaritan walked into the St Vincent de Paul shop at Butts Green, neat St Canice’s Cathedral and donated a bag, a picnic basket and some suit covers, at around 2pm last Wednesday.

But as the volunteers were going through the items, they were shocked to come across a substantial amount of money in one of the bags. Now they are trying to locate the woman and reunite her with her money.
