It’s pawsome! Fantastic free day out for your four-legged friends at Cillín Hill
A ‘BARKING-MAD’ day out at Cillín Hill for the canine members of your family and all proceeds will go to Irish Therapy Dogs.
Hosted by Connolly’s Red Mills, Barkfest – the South East’s Summer Festival for Dogs, takes place on Saturday, July 20 and all four-legged friends are welcome.
Set in the Dog Friendly RED MILLS Store & Café, this is a free event with lots of pawsome activities lined up to keep you and your pooch entertained.
Starting off the frolics will be this year’s Crufts winners, Aces High flyball team, with a Flyball Demo. There’ll be lots of fun in the sun as Aces will have two of their relay teams competing against each other on the day, as well as opportunities for visiting dogs to join in the action.
Join in the fun of the Sausage Sizzle BBQ, at 12pm to welcome four-legged guests from Dublin’s Sausage Dog Social. They are visiting Redmills Store & Café for their monthly dachshund outing, and there’ll be hot dogs galore!
Kilkenny’s Next Top Madra, kicks off at 1:30pm and all dogs are welcome to enter the competition. With 12 fun dog show classes, including ‘Egg & Spoon race on a lead’, ‘Best Golden Oldie’ and ‘Most Pawsome Pup’ it’s going to be tough for celebrity judge, hurler TJ Reid and his assistant, TV’s Tina Koumarianos, to choose.
Entry to the dog show is €3 per dog with all proceeds going to Irish Therapy Dogs. For €3 your dog can enter as many classes as you like. To pre-register your dog, visit: https://redmills.ie/Barkfest-dog-show/
