REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our dear brother Jim, he will be sadly missed by his wife Trish, his 3 beautiful children Seamus, Conor and Niamh, grandchildren CJ and Declan, his brothers Ben and Lyn, sister Mamie (Cox), sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncle and his many friends.

Jim will be reposing at O’Sheas Funeral Home on Saturday, 28th August, and Sunday, 29th August, from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm both days, Jim’s Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, August 30th, at 10.30am in the Church of St. Rosalie, 31 East Montauk Highway, Hampton, followed by Good Ground Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Hamptom.

James passed away peacefully. Brother of the late Margaret. Deeply regretted by his loving wife May, sons Peter, Robert and Jamie, daughters Laura and Orla, brother Luke, sisters Mary, Eileen and Kathleen, son-in-law Matthew, daughter-in-law Deirdre, partners Ray and Maggie, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Saturday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 4.00pm until 6.00pm. Arriving on Sunday at Kilnaspic Church (via his residence) for requiem mass at 1.30pm. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Please adhere to H.S.E guidelines (the wearing of face masks & use of hand sanitizer). In accordance with government guidelines Funeral mass is for family and close friends (max 50 people).

Gerry Cunningham, Ballymack, Cuffesgrange, Co. Kilkenny and SOS, Garrin Green, Kilkenny.

Peacefully on Thursday 26th August 2021, surrounded by his family and the wonderful staff in SOS, Garrin Green, Kilkenny.

Pre-deceased by his father Patrick, and his brother Oliver who died in infancy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his mother Hazel, brothers David, Dick, Larry and Liam, sister Sheila, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, Aunt Nellie, nieces, nephews, grand nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends in The SOS Community, especially Margaret Whitehead.

Due to the current HSE and Government restrictions regarding public gatherings, Gerry’s funeral will take place privately (For 50 mourners only). Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday 28th August at 12.30 pm in The Church of the Holy Cross, Cuffesgrange. Burial will take place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on Facebook (Danesfort Parish Kilkenny).

Unexpectedly, on Thursday, 26th August 2021 at his residence.

Pre-deceased by his parents Paddy and Veronica and his brother Pat. Deeply regretted by his family, wife Phyllis, daughter Beatrice, son, brother John, sister Jo, family relatives, neighbours and friends.

Due to current Level 5, HSE and Government restrictions, Aubrey’s Funeral will take place privately (for 50 mourners only). Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday, 31st August, at 11am in St. Nicholas’ Church, Windgap. Burial will take place afterwards in Coolagh Cemetery.

Catherine (Kitty) Marnell (née Walsh). (Oldtown, Cuffesgrange, Co. Kilkenny) August 26th 2021 (peacefully) at her home in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Sean. Loving mother of Brigid, Alison and Finola. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, sisters Mary and Alice, grandchildren Ella, Daisy, Curtis, Evan and Louis, great-grandchild Kitty, sons-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Due to current restrictions a private Requiem Mass for Kitty will be celebrated on Monday (Aug. 30th) at 11a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, Danesfort (max. 50 in Church), followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery.
