Kilkenny businesses urged to apply for Covid Restart Grant as deadline looms
Kilkenny businesses who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are being urged to apply for council support to kick-start their operations as the deadline looms at the end of this week.
Kilkenny County Council’s Business Restart Grant Plus scheme is a direct grant aid of anywhere between €4,000 to €25,000, based on a business’s commercial rates bill from 2019.
The scheme is open to businesses that have a turnover of less than €100,000 per employee up to a maximum of €25 million.
The local authority reminded business owners that the closing date for Restart Grant Plus is this Saturday, October 31. Applications for Restart Grant Plus will not be processed if sent in after this date.
The successful Restart Grant scheme introduced at the end of May helped countless businesses in Ireland prepare for re-opening after the initial lockdown earlier this year.
In Budget 2021 the Government announced a new Covid support scheme which is open for three weeks.
