Kilkenny Divisional Drugs Unit behind €165k drugs bust
The Kilkenny Divisional Drugs Unit were behind the discovery of €165,000 worth of cannabis found in a house in county Wexford yesterday afternoon.
A man in his 40s was arrested after gardai found the bounty of weed in a house in Bunclody, county Wexford.
A garda spokesperson said: “The search took place as part of ongoing investigations into the supply of controlled drugs in the South East of Ireland.”
Gardaí from the Kilkenny Divisional Drugs Unit were assisted by Enniscorthy Drugs Unit the house and recovered 5kgs of cannabis herb along with 80 cannabis plants during the raid.
The man was arrested at the scene and taken to Carlow Garda Station where he is currently being questioned and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act) Act, 1996.
