Kilkenny gardai to question cleric over controversial ‘gay’ zombie homily

GARDAI in Kilkenny will interview a cleric as part of their investigation into a controversial homily that compared gay people to “spiritual zombies” that have been infected, it emerged today.
A local Garda source confirmed investigating officers will question a member of the clergy over comments made from the altar during a mass in Kilkenny last month.
“Investigations are ongoing, and as a part of these investigations we will be talking to a member of the clergy,” the source told KilkennyNow.ie.
The controversy was sparked last month when during a homily, a friar likened members of the LGBTQ community and supporters of abortion rights and euthanasia to “spiritual zombies” that had been “infected”.
An investigation was launched on the back of a criminal complaint made by a former Kilkenny city councillor, Patrick McKee.
