Kilkenny had one of lowest number of IDA-assisted visits from multinationals last year
KILKENNY received one of the lowest number of IDA-assisted visits from multinational companies last year.
It was one of 17 counties to receive 10 or less visits from multinationals looking to set up or expand their operations in Ireland in 2018.
Our neighbours in Carlow, Laois, Wexford and Tipperary are also included in this group, along with Donegal, Kerry, Kildare, Leitrim, Longford, Mayo, Meath, Offaly, Cavan, Roscommon, Wicklow and Monaghan.
Almost half of all IDA-assisted visits by multinationals were to locations in Dublin, according to figures published by The Irish Times.
A total of 607 IDA-assisted site visits took place in 2018, of which 269 (44%) were in the capital.
Cork attracted the second-largest number with 61 visits, followed by Galway with 54. Limerick came fourth with 35 visits, followed by Westmeath with 35.
