Kilkenny punter beats the odds and lands windfall

One lucky local punter had a good reason to celebrate this weekend after some savvy selections saw them pick up a tidy five-figure sum on yesterday’s races.

The anonymous winner struck a €5 each-way double via their online BoyleSports account, picking two horses running at the Curragh, amounting to a stake of €10.

The winners obliged at massive odds with John The Baptist winning at 50/1 in the 1.10 race and Major Power at 40/1 in the 4.00 race.

When the results were all known, the champagne could be popped open as the wager returned a whopping €11,415, all from a tenner stake.
