Kilkenny Roses bowled over at fun events in the city

DO you have what it takes to become the next Rose of Tralee?

The Kilkenny Rose Centre has said applicants have until St Patrick’s weekend to join this year’s local group of girls, who have been busy having lots of fun at a series of events organised throughout the county in recent weeks.

One of these was a special bowling event at KBowl in MacDonagh Junction.

Lyn Moloney of the Kilkenny Rose Centre said: “The girls had an absolute blast, for some it was their first event as a Kilkenny Rose entrant.

“The Roses were made feel exceptionally welcome by all the staff and after a few roll n’ bowls it was like they knew each other for years.”

Upcoming events over the next few weeks include a special Rosebud Day at MacDonagh Junction, marching in the St Patrick’s Day Parade and afternoon tea at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel.

Lyn added: “We have some lovely outings over the next few weeks and would welcome any new girls to join us.

“We would love to see any young ladies from the Marble City enter this experience and we guarantee you will not regret it. It could be you!”
